When Jacob first began care at Maximum Potential Chiropractic, life felt overwhelming for both him and his family.
He was struggling with restless sleep, constipation, toe walking, frequent sickness, and major challenges with body awareness and communication. His mom described a season of pure exhaustion, where even simple daily tasks felt incredibly hard. Therapy sessions were often difficult, and Jacob’s body seemed stuck in a constant state of stress and dysregulation.
His family had already tried many different approaches, searching for answers and hoping to help him feel better.
When they started care with Dr. Matt, one of the biggest things they noticed was just how much stress Jacob’s nervous system had been carrying. His scans showed that his body was stuck in a heightened fight-or-flight state and wasn’t able to regulate the way it should.
As care continued, Jacob’s family began to see real changes.
His sleep improved, his digestion got better, and he became calmer and more aware of his body. His mom also noticed progress in his apraxia, body tension, and toe walking, with his feet beginning to flatten out more naturally. He was better able to move through his day, recover faster when he got sick, and participate more fully in therapy and learning.
Today, Jacob is still making progress — but the difference is undeniable.
His mom says he is a completely different boy than he was a year ago. He is calmer, more connected, more aware of what’s happening in his body, and better able to sit, focus, and work alongside his therapist. For their family, this journey has brought both hope and meaningful change.
From Jacob’s Mom:
“Jacob is a working progress for sure, he has come such a long way. A totally different boy today than I would say a year ago. He’s much calmer now, he seems to be more aware of what’s happening to his body, recovering from colds and fevers much faster than before seeing Dr. Matt. He’s sleeping much better, his body is more calm than it was before. His apraxia has definitely improved. He is able to finally sit down and do lessons and type out his thoughts.”
